Project description

Teachers from Austria/Vienna and Mecklenburg/Vorpommern are taking part in study-seminaries at the memorial place of Yad Vashem in Israel for many years. The graduates’ experience and the increase of knowledge should be strongly implemented in the schooling and educational practices.
In order to fulfil these challenges regional networking and cooperation with stakeholders and actors will be established and completed through input by non-educational partners and experts.
The main topic in holocaust education of younger pupils will be managed by implementation of interdisciplinary approaches and applicably methodical interventions.
The thematically focus will be concentrated on democratic and human rights education and is combatting right-wings extremism by transregional project activities.
The aim of the project activities is to develop examples of good practice and didactically prepare those that already were tested respectively, to discuss, pilot and adapt them.
The results of the project will be evaluated, exchanged and as far as applicable implemented; a tool box will ensure dissemination and sustainability after the end of the project too.
